You can solve your problems in life... no matter the problem. The only real rule about this is that it has to be your problem.
I grew up in a conformist family. I was taught to vote liberal, recycle, and rant about politics at Christmas parties. But to never, ever, ever question authority.
When my grandpa was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, it never occurred to any of us who loved him to try to help him get well. We just endured the last two months of his life in which he substituted morphine for food. That's just how my family was. We went along to get along. We did well in school. We got safe jobs, like teaching school or working for the government in administrative jobs.
When I was a young adult, I had a dream that I was about to have a baby. I was very pleased about this. In a dream, being pregnant and about to give birth is about having a new idea, project, or responsibility that you're not quite ready to tell people about yet. It's still gestating.
Only, in my dream, some smiling people in white coats approached me in my backyard and said "Come with us. It's time to have your baby."
When I told them I didn't want to, their faces changed. They glanced at each other. Dark forms carrying guns loomed up behind them. And I ran into the forest to hide behind a giant oak with my little idea. I promised my "baby" that we would do things on our terms, and that I wouldn't give away what belonged to me to the agents in the white coats.
They were wrong, and I was right. And what I had to protect was a lot more important than their patient quotas, their policies, their administrative procedures ...or their stupid ideas about how babies should come out.
After all, babies - and brilliant new ideas - have been emerging from human beings for a lot longer than the 150 years that the medical industry has been telling people that it owns our bodies and our lives.
As you can probably tell, the metaphor of the baby-stealing doctors eventually extended to everything about my life that I consider to be mine and which the people in charge of our society believe to be theirs. These "children" in my life include my intellectual achievements, my will, the fruits of my labour, things I've built, foods and medicines I choose to grow and consume, relationships I choose to have. And, of course, my actual child.
Most of the conflicts in my life have been over my own lack of understanding of just where my rights end and others' begin. When I was small, my mother "owned" my food, my home, and my time. When I was a university student, my professors "owned" my knowledge, and my boyfriend "owned" my Saturday nights. When I started having a real job, the prime minister "owned" some of the money that I earned.
I learned that none of this was true when my son was born and I decided to quit my job and follow my dream of being an entrepreneur with a home-based business. That's when I found out that parents, aunts, in-laws, partner, friends, employers, neighbours, bankers, medical doctors and nurses, day care workers, schoolteachers, and just about everyone else in the world ...believe that they owned everything about me.
There are several words for this: "collectivism," "statism," and "society" are a few of them. I call it "The Powers That Were."
What The Powers That Were believe is that the interests of the individual can and should be sacrificed in the interests of the group. The idea is really illogical if you think it through. There can be no group without its individuals. And there is not one human being on this earth that is entitled to govern the minds of any human being other than him or herself. The point of power is in ourselves, not outside ourselves. Not in the group. Your rights belong to you, not to your community.
But, since the idea of all-for-one-one-for-all is all around us all the time, since it's whispered in our ears in the cradle, pounded into our heads through public schooling, broadcast over the television for hours a day, and in every monetary, legal, or administrative transaction ...it sounds normal and therefore sounds real.
What we've all been taught is that there is One Right Way to live. Whatever that way is, it's probably not whatever you or I thought up and gestated by ourselves. It's a handed-down belief.
And not only is it complete bullshit, it's the reason we are destroying the world that we depend on for our basic survival and happiness. It's the reason most of us are not pursuing our life's passion. It's the reason most of us are unhealthy and dying 50 years younger than we really have to. Our brainwashing has taught us to give up on ourselves, and go along to get along.
Well, I'm not gonna. Because outside of The System, away from The Powers That Were, is a magnificent world of knowledge, creativity, meaning and passion. A world in which love, justice, and reason lead us. A beautiful world, where everyone is happy and vibrantly healthy.
I created MindTreeHealth to help other strong, freedom-seeking people understand the causes of their most pressing problems, the purpose for their problems, and the pathway through their problems. I believe that the way to have an awesome life is never to avoid problems. For two reasons:
In permaculture, there's a principle called "the problem is the solution," and I've applied this principle to myself. Despite my unquenchable thirst to be a generalist and jump from discipline to discipline, I've trained myself to look deeper into whatever I'm learning about, deliberately pushing past the point of boredom to see if there's a connection underneath the surface.
Instead of just seeing the big picture about how complex societies rise and fall, I learned the law, civics, and how the monetary system works. Instead of just seeing the big picture about how the brain generally works as a complex system, I learned about nerve cells, nutrition, biochemistry, medications, and herbalism. Instead of just gaining an understanding of how people cope with the many types of mental illness, I learned about how the mind works, how the mind, body and emotions connect, about the communication cycle and the auditory cortex, the biology of belief, and the process of learning.
To break myself out of the lie that I'd believed for much of my life, I went back and looked deeper into things I already knew.
This is how I came to discover that, underneath the surface, there are underlying principles that apply to how all complex systems work. Life, ecosystems, economies, relationships, families, individual human mind-body systems... have a certain set of rules that they must follow. Any kind of problem can be understood by understanding these underlying principles of complex systems.
The natural laws that govern our health and success in our minds, bodies, and relationships are called the five natural laws of healing.
But all the knowledge in the world doesn't change a simple truth about having a good life: everything that happens in our physical lives is the result of something that we first experienced in our consciousness. Everything that exists - bad or good - got to be that way because of an idea that you either consciously accepted, or failed to consciously reject. For me, this meant years of symptoms related to my conflicting ideas about being a good citizen, having respect for authority, and getting my needs met by playing the hero.
All I had to do to begin healing was to accept the truth no matter whether it was what I wanted it to be or not.
Think of your most serious problem in life. Now imagine that problem being completely solved. Wouldn't that be an amazing feeling? Imagine going back to the time in your life just before you began to have this problem. Wouldn't it be fantastic to go back to that time in your life, knowing everything that you know now, and make a different set of choices? How wonderful your life would be!
Just imagine that the moment of choice is now, instead of back then. That's how amazing, fantastic, and wonderful your life and mine really are supposed to be. We just need some information that the current system - especially the medical industry - does not want us to know.
The truth shall set us free!

you aren't being creative if you're just being random... creativity is coming up with something new and good out of a "problem"
... this is the reason for problems! nothing new comes out of "good enough"

This site is about how to heal cancer.
Actually, it's about how to heal AIDS, schizophrenia, MS, diabetes, fibromyalgia, Down syndrome, allergies, heart disease, constipation, panic disorder, the common cold …and every other physical or emotional symptom a human being can experience. Including crappy relationships and an unsatisfying life.
But this site isn't for everyone.
We're at a time of converging human crises at physical, ecological, and social levels. Weird stuff is going on in the world around us, and the weirdness is accellerating.
But you're part of the freedom movement. While the industrial society we've gotten used to over three or four generations has begun falling apart, you've been building something much, much better. The replacement world that comes next.
Perhaps you've been watching peak oil. Maybe you've been concerned about freshwater depletion. Maybe chemtrails freak you out. So you're a prepper and an off-gridder.
Perhaps your concern with the status quo is the destruction of living communities. Maybe it bothers you that ancient natural system that feed your body and soul are being relentlessly chewed up to produce consumer goods. Maybe you hate being poisoned by genetically-modified foods, drugs in your food and water, lousy air quality, wasteful production and delivery of our basic goods, destruction of your drinking water supply from leaching landfills ...destruction of everyone's water supply from breaching nuclear reactor plants. So you're a deep ecologist, a deep green resister, a permaculture designer.
Perhaps you're sick of a political system that benefits a tiny handful of people at the expense of almost everyone else. Maybe you don't want to wait patiently as the world economy crashes against debt and resource limits, while corrupt, insolvent banks and bloated, corporate governments leave the majority of their people to languish in “austerity.” Maybe you're fed up with a collectivist state that, while claiming to be "democratic," is willing to use force to impose its own profit-making agenda on you and your family. So you're a political and social activist, an anarchist, counter-culturer, cultural creative, anti-vaccine advocate, libertarian, homeschooler, freeman.
Perhaps your journey has been spiritual, struggling with a sense of emptiness, confusion about the meaning of your existence, feeling that life is meant to be a lot less difficult than it is, needing an explanation for why bad things happen. You're a spiritual seeker, a meditater, a social entrepreneur, on the path of awakening.
No matter why you've become part of the freedom movement, you've made a choice that many others are making, but that most people haven't made. Given the choice of whether to adjust to our utterly dysfunctional present world civilization, or whether to seek the truth and make your life matter for its own sake ...you've chosen the road less travelled.
It's a courageous path, with plenty of obstacles. Most people still don't understood "radicals" like you. You pose a threat to the status quo, because you're not a happy consumer, a polite voter, or a quiet taxpayer. You're not a yes-man.
What you are is smart, talented, peace-seeking, and one-hundred-percent responsible for your own life. You know what you want and you're willing to do what it takes to get it. Because there's no point in being alive, otherwise.
One of the biggest threats the people of the freedom movement pose is to the trillion-dollar medical industry. This industry profits entirely from your dependence, ignorance, and illness. It does not want you to be healthy, happy, or free. And you are a threat to this system, because you want what you want and constantly think of ways to create the world you want, no matter if everyone - even the experts - tell you that you can't have it.
If you have an acute problem like a broken bone or a coronary infarction, the hospital is the place you need to go. But ...who are you going to go to when you have a serious or chronic illness, like diabetes, or a tumour? Who are you going to consult with if your muscles stop working properly or you develop a serious allergic reaction?
The problem with being a freedom-thinker is when you have to seek help from the very system you're trying to displace by creating something better. Unfortunately, when it comes to serious health problems - including mental and emotional problems - there are no real alternatives yet.
Except that there are.
I'm Lishui Springford, an Earth scientist, German New Medicine healer, mindfulness practitioner, clearer, mother bear, permaculture designer, and major do-it-yourselfer. Plus I love to dance.
My vision is to live in a world where people are self-governing, know their rights, and live and work together with a healthy understanding of how their minds, bodies, relationships, communities and ecosystem really work ...and with the wisdom of how the nonphysical translates into our physical lives through our conscious minds. My vision is to make the "sickcare industry" obsolete by teaching people how healing really works. When I die, I want to be known for building healing sanatoriums all over the world where people with serious problems like MS, cancer, AIDS, and schizoprhenia can live for several months while they recuperate and redesign their lives.
To make my vision a reality, I help people in the freedom movement to overcome the challenges they've inherited by growing up in a corrupt, highly dysfunctional industrial society. I do this primarily by teaching people how their physical symptoms or results - the actual problems and situations they see and feel in their lives - have originated in the way that their minds work.
I constantly teach people about natural laws, not because I have a gift of special, esoteric knowledge, but because so many of us have been brainwashed into believing nonsensical ideas about how the world works. Those nonsensical ideas are really the only thing between how the world currently is and how we really want it to be.

Find out, and experience your life taking a big step in the direction of awesome.
Your life is a constant offer to you of opportunities to learn how to be happy. This comes in the form of opportunities to see the big picture so that you can know that you belong to something huge and wonderful.
When you clean your house, it doesn't really matter which room you start in. Similarly, while your problem or challenge might be concentrated in only one or two areas, it still affects your whole life.

Okay, it's not really Lishui's pathway. It's what I put together from Abraham Maslow's hierarchy of needs, Dr. Hawkins' scale of consciousness, Glenn Doman's human developmental pathway, the Eight Shields teachings, and stuff I figured out doing a lot of meditating.

My naturopath saved my life a few years ago. I was a stressed-out mess and I didn't know where to turn anymore (my physician wouldn't help me with my stress, but did offer to remove my breasts to prevent breast cancer. And he gave me a pamphlet about IBS). Then I went to a naturopath. She cared about me and gave me attention and yummy things. I didn't begrudge a single dollar of the thousands that it ended up costing over the long haul of supplements and meridian balancing and the rest of the woo-woo.
